On today’s CU Chat Up, Ondine Irving, from Credit Card Connection, was on the show to give an update on how Credit Card Connection has helped consumers find fair and ethical credit union credit cards. It is free for credit unions to list their card program and has generated new, credit-worthy applications!
Ondine also talked about her upcoming website Debit Card Connection which will do the same thing for debit cards and checking accounts. Lastly, she talked about the Card Act and Durbin Amendment and how they will impact credit unions and how credit unions can maintain profitable programs.

Today, thousands of credit union advocates went to Capitol Hill in opposition to the Durbin Interchange Amendment. On today’s CU Chat Up, Paul Stull from Arizona State Credit Union, and Eric Acree from Vantage Credit Union discussed how credit unions can support the efforts to get this amendment taken out of the Financial Reform Bill. In addition, Braden Young from Bucks First FCU called in from Washington.
